UiTM Cawangan Sarawak Campus 2 recorded history for being the first institute of Higher Education in Borneo to be awarded the Blue-Ribbon Certificate. The certificate awarded ceremony was held at Marriot Hotel, Putra Jaya, on 2nd November 2019, in conjunction with the Blue-Ribbon Award and Recognition by the Malaysia Health Promotion Board (MySihat). The rector of UiTM Sarawak Branch, Professor Dato Jamil Haji Hamali received the certificate from the Minister of Health, Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly bin Ahmad.
